Upscale Italian dishes in the heart of Doylestown. The coat is a bit pricey but the food is delicious.
Food was good and staff was attentive. Coming from New York City, I feel it’d be unfair to leave a rating based on comparison so leaving a 5-star simply for effort and overall experience; my expectations are typically high coming to an Italian restaurant. Overall experience was good though and they offer a few complimentary items on the house which was very nice too. Not my favorite place or worst. Taste/quality can use some work. It’s worth giving it a try if you’re in town though. Enjoy!
Amazing restaurant, 5 stars. We didn’t have a reservation but they fit us in anyway. Immediately given complimentary bread and bruschetta. After we ordered we were given the amazing crepes filled with ricotta and vodka sauce. Sooo good. I got lasagna with vodka sauce and my wife got the chicken parm with vodka sauce. Absolutely nothing left we ate it all. Great service, great food, overall highly recommend. I would prob get a reservation though I think we got very lucky as it was filling up quick
Come for the specials, stay for the hospitality. This is my favorite BYOB in Doylestown to go with a group of friends. The waitresses and owner treat you like family. The menu is great, but the specials are even better. I love that the owner wants everyone to stay and have a good time. It feels like being in Italy. And the limoncello shots are so yummy! Love love love this place!
Go early because the place is small and fills up quick but we found out why. Food was terrific. Started with the lightly breaded calamari, then got the Tagliatelle ai frutti di Mare and wow was it good. Light and flavorful marinara sauce, clams, mussels, scallops and shrimp. Perfect. We also had the chicken Marsala which was very good.
I truly believe eating food is like going on a journey. If you walked by Bocelli’s last night and saw me eating with my eyes closed, it’s because I was on a wild Italian journey. This spot absolutely rocks. I wanted to order 4 different things off the menu, then our server dropped the “would you like to hear our specials?” and I knew I was doomed. I mean really, how do you expect me to choose between lobster ravioli and the chicken caprese(both pictured)?! I couldn’t, and neither could my mom, so naturally we split the 2 while my sister went for sausage dish that I ended up finishing for her (incredibly underrated). The lemon cake was recommended and ended up being outstanding. Perfectly lite. Service was 10/10. Our server was great, I wish I could remember her name! She loved the food so she could paint the picture and answer all of our questions. I won’t lie, I thought I was hallucinating when she read the specials bc they sounded out of this world. Nice little cozy spot, perfect for date night with my mom and sis! I’ll 100% be back.
Food was amazing our server was super nice. BYOB makes it even more great. Lobster ravioli which was a special - so good. The other special was Sole with crabmeat, it was melt in your mouth. Super good!!! They brought us complimentary creme brulee and lemon cello shots. Would go back for sure!
We were lucky to get a last minute table here during a recent trip to Doylestown, and both my boyfriend and I are SO glad we did! The staff were all so friendly and accommodating. The complimentary bruschetta, crepes & limoncello are not just delicious, but add an extra special touch. We got the crabmeat & lobster ravioli served with scallops in vodka sauce, lasagna, and the homemade tiramisu. Everything was just incredible! We can’t wait to eat here again when we return to Doylestown!
Bocelli’s was exceptional. The food and atmosphere were excellent, but the service truly stood out. Every member of the staff made my wife and me feel welcome and went above and beyond—walking us through the specials in detail and answering all of our questions. Even the owner took the time to personally welcome us, which made the experience even more memorable. Lovely restaurant. We will absolutely be back.
One of Doylestown's absolute best! The quality of the food and service are consistently high, year after year. I've been a customer since they opened and I've never had a single problem or mistake with the food. The menu is delicious and features a large selection. We're very lucky to have Bocelli's in our town!
